Accommodation

We at Blue Mango in The Himalayas, understand your need for comfort and believe that spiritual inner work need not be exclusive of luxury. The accommodation is part of an outdoor camp and is designed in the form of lavish Swiss tents that are a beautiful blend of comfort, modern amenities and handmade fabrics and furniture. Most of the materials used are handcrafted and made by artisans across India. These ensure that you have a cosy and soothing cocoon-like home to retire to in your free time, and at the end of each day.

The tents are eco friendly and created from weather-proof cotton canvas. They offer very comfortable accommodation with twin beds, carpets, warm quilts, fresh linen, a dressing table, clothes rack, coat rack and seating area.

All tents have an attached bath and toilet with running tap water. These toilets have a wash basin, WC, bath area and towel rack. Hot water is available.  Each tent has a private outdoor area that is a perfect sit-out for an early cup of tea, relaxation and reflection.

Soul Kitchen

According to Vedic knowledge, the quality and content of your diet have a significant affect on your state of mind and consciousness. This is why we, at Blue Mango in The Himalayas, take food very seriously. As we understand the significance of diet in a person's general well-being, our team of Vedic food experts have crafted a nutritious and wholesome menu for the retreat. This is a well balanced fare, comprising organic foods and is beneficial for spiritual activities in higher climes.

Our experienced cooks work with concern for the highest spiritual standards and knowledge of Vedic nutrition. They prepare all meals in a manner that maximises nutritional value and channels the subtle energies of the food.

Our cooks are themselves spiritual practitioners and they prepare and serve food with love and devotion. Peaceful music, Sanskrit shlokas (verses) and chants are played while preparing the food. We believe that food is more than just food; it is Prasāda, or sacred food – it's the Lord's mercy. You are therefore requested to say a little prayer of thanks before every meal. Savour each bite. Eat with your consciousness. Bon Appétit, or as we say in India, Shubh Bhojan.
